Tips for applying for rental properties? Help!?
Posted by admin in sydney property rent on 03 27th, 2011I have been looking with a friend at rental properties in the Inner West of Sydney. I understand that the rental market is aggressive at the moment, and that agents can be extremely picky! I was hoping to get some input from someone who works in the real estate industry.
I have been applying for places with my current housemate. We both don’t have rental history. She is 27 I am 21. We both have full time jobs, and I work for a TV production (crew) which I thought would benefit us somehow, but hasn’t. We both have work references, but still our personal references haven’t been called (with 8 or so applications being submitted). What can we do to help our case? Offer to pay more rent? Do they do that in Sydney? Should we persist with the application?
Also, we have been coming across a lot of great 3 bedders, but it’s only us applying. We have stated we want to get a third person when we have settled in, and that we would get their name on the lease, when approved through the agency. Is this a good or bad thing?

Very Obvious case… your TV job is not going to help anyways… through you are in the crew but still you betta know how people imagine TV as a work place.
You should not focus on this TV thing and on the other hand two thing that will help you is good back statement as you didn’t have a prier rental history so this will be your benefit.
You should talk to real estate agent and they will surly help you with that as most of the times they do have lot of the information about rentals that they dont share…
